We’re leading the way in AI-Compression, having the world's first AI-Codec running in real-time on mobile devices. Our team comes with 50+ years of combined research experience with over 80+ filed patents.

Last year, Deep Render raised its Series A funding round from top-tier investors and is looking to grow its current 35-person team in 2024. We’re in commercial engagements with some of the largest Big Tech companies in the world and expect hundreds of millions of people to be using the Deep Render AI Codec very soon.

Role

Deep Render is looking for our first hire into the People team who will play a pivotal role as builder and protector of all things culture and employee experience. In this role, you’ll work directly under the guidance of our Chief of Staff and collaborate with other members of our Talent and Operations teams (currently four). Partnering with Senior Leadership, you’ll be responsible for building new, and iterating on existing people focused processes to continue to make Deep Render a great place to work.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership, maintain, and continuously improve existing People processes. This includes our quarterly review process, career framework, and employee happiness surveys.
  • Design and implement new processes using a research-driven approach.
  • Collaborate closely with our Operations team to ensure an efficient onboarding process for new employees.
  • Present key metrics to Founders and Senior Leadership; utilising data for reporting and influencing decisions.
  • Externally benchmark our employee benefits against the wider market to understand our positioning as well as our ability to attract and nurture the best talent.
  • Review and automate our existing people systems wherever possible. Identify and address any gaps where additional systems could benefit our team.

Must have

  • 3-5 years experience working in a People role; with ideally 2 years working in a startup (experience across the full life cycle of developing and refining processes).
  • You have a research-led, data-driven approach to your work to ensure informed decision-making.
  • A passion for developing and scaling initiatives focused on automation, streamlining, and user-friendliness.
  • Experience working autonomously with the ability to work on tasks independently and execute them in a self-sufficient manner.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, and both written and verbal communication.

Recommended skills

  • Proficiency in using dedicated people systems (For our HRIS we use Bamboo, for Performance and Engagement we use Lattice)
  • Formal HR qualifications (ideally CIPD 5 onwards)
  • A good understanding of employment law
